Saheed Olatokunbo Akanmu has been honoured with an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters (DHL) and inducted as an Associate Fellow of the British American Institute (UK) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to construction, entrepreneurship, and national development.

The distinguished ceremony took place at the Area Council Commission, Area 3, Abuja, on December 22, 2025.

The honours underscore his exceptional leadership, commitment to excellence, and impactful contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

Saheed Olatokunbo Akanmu is a visionary entrepreneur and architect driving innovation within Nigeria’s construction industry. He is the Founder and CEO of Ashmark Global Resources Limited, a fast-growing civil construction company delivering landmark projects across the nation.

He also leads BuildingMarts-NG, a top-tier construction materials and tools procurement firm, and co-founded Marc and Nita Limited, a strategic business growth consultancy dedicated to empowering organizations with transformative insights. He's been the Chief-Editor of JustU Magazine for the past three years, and a Director at Waves Solutions, a foremost consulting firm committed to helping business owners scale up.

Saheed earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, and a Master’s Degree in Architectural Science from Caleb University, Lagos. His professional expertise has positioned him to contribute to major national projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway, and Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, as well as numerous energy infrastructure developments in the CNG, LNG, petrol, and diesel sectors.

A dedicated humanitarian, Saheed has been an active member of the Rotary International family since his university days. He chaired the Against HIV and AIDS Program (AHAP) during his time in school and continues to champion charitable and youth empowerment initiatives across Nigeria.
